Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
